Seas the Day: What to Do This Month

Last month we introduced a new series on our Blog. Each month, one of our team members will be sharing a list that comes directly from our own calendar and experiences. We might share a recipe we’ve come across, a band to “Listen” to, or an article or book to “Read.” Each list reflects our own tastes, but we’ll do our best to represent a variety of options and events each month so you can ideally find something that might suit your own interests. We hope you enjoy it!

This month features Bailey! Learn more about what she’s up to this month.

The Niagara SCPA is a local nonprofit that is close to my heart. On Wednesday, September 19th at 6:30 PM, The Irishman in Williamsville is hosting a happy hour to benefit the organization! It includes pet themed cocktails, a small basket raffle, and of course, great food! Join me and bring your furry friends for some fun!

Fall festivities are finally here! The 2018 apple picking season begins on September 14th. You’ll find me at Blackman Homestead Farm with a fresh cider slushy in hand.

Have you been to Churn on Hertel yet? Get there before the warm weather is gone for good. What’s better than ice cream made in house? Nothing. Churn has a unique menu that will keep you coming back for more. Churro sundaes, delicious waffle cones, and creative toppings. See you there!

I was wandering through a bookstore recently when I spotted this book on the end of an aisle. The New York Times Book Review calls it, “Inspiring, disturbing, daring, and completely absorbing.” It’s an inspiring story about a doctor who is committed to something larger than himself.  Learn more about the novel here.

I’m a big musical fan and jump on any opportunity to see one. This month Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the Musical is in town for Shea’s Broadway series. Learn more and buy your tickets here.
