This month we are introducing a new series on our blog, Get to Know Us, a behind the scenes look at our team. Each month will feature one team member with the purpose of celebrating our employees, their successes, and their stories.
We are thrilled to chat this month with our Marketing Coordinator, Bailey Godwin. Bailey has been an awesome addition to our team! She assists with accounting, custom projects, and social media.
A native of the Buffalo area, she graduated from Niagara University with a degree in Marketing and concentration in Social Media. Keep reading to learn more about Bailey!
What do you like best about what you do?
It is different everyday. There are the routine things I have to do every day/week, but there is always something new for me to be doing.
What do you consider a fulfilling workday?
A fulfilling work day…. is when I am able to get all the things I had planned to do done, and more!
What would the title of your autobiography be?
Where in the World Was Bailey. I am always traveling and exploring new places! I am sure I could come up with some pretty interesting stories to tell.
What’s your Enneagram number and do you agree with it?
My Enneagram number is 6, “The Loyalist”. I relate to it a lot, especially its emphasis on teamwork. I love being a part of a team and collaborating on projects. I like knowing that I have people I can turn to and help me in the places I may be lacking.
But I also relate to Enneagram 8, “The Challenger” in many situations. I am a direct communicator, which can be both a good and bad thing. I am also very independent and like to know that I can do things on my own without bothering others for help.
Describe working at Of the Sea in three words.
Just THREE words? …. Fun, Rewarding,Teamwork.
Do you have a favorite book, newspaper or blog?
I am currently reading the After Series by Anna Todd and I am addicted. I am on book 3 of 4, and it has only been a month.
What’s the last show you binge watched?
The last show I binge watched was season 7 of Arrow. It’s on Netflix currently and I highly recommend it.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I grew up in farm country. I learned to drive a tractor when I was 12. We had all sorts of animals everything from cats and dogs, to chickens and a horse!
