What do you like best about what you do?

How creative I can be. There is no box here. Whether it’s client work, internal projects or social media, I am always brainstorming new ideas, concepts, and copy. It keeps my days interesting.

What do you consider a fulfilling workday?

Well first, it starts with coffee. I tend to make a list of things I want to accomplish for the day and checking things off my list is pretty fulfilling. I also get excited when I come up with a new idea that actually works.

What would the title of your autobiography be?

How to Be Me from Kay to Z.

I can’t take credit for this. A friend from High School mentioned once that if I ever wrote a book this would have to be the title. No ifs, ands, or buts.

What’s your Enneagram number and do you agree with it?

I am an Enneagram Type 3: The Achiever. I’ve taken the test a couple times now and test high on the 3 and 8 (The Challenger). However, when I read the descriptions, the 3 was like reading a book about myself. Also, Taylor Swift is a 3. Bonus points.

Describe working at Of the Sea in three words.

Energetic, Challenging, Supportive.

Do you have a favorite book, newspaper or blog?

As far as a book, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald will always be a top favorite. Lately I’ve been very into Brene Brown. I highly recommend her book Dare to Lead. It’s a great resource on dealing with conflict and vulnerability in an office environment.

I also love the New Yorker and have a paper subscription (so old school of me). I love the articles, essays, and commentary. It inspires my writing.

As far as blogs, I have a list that I follow. A few honorable mentions: The Everygirl, Who What Wear, Refinery29, The Golden Girl, Cupcakes and Cashmere, and Love Taza. I used to follow WAY more, but I toned it down.

What’s the last show you binge watched?

The last show I seriously binge watched was Game of Thrones. I watched the whole series in maybe two months? Every fall, I binge watch Gilmore Girls. Don’t ask why.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

I’m actually good at sports. A couple years ago, I played in a touch football league. No one believes me when I tell them. I also got into backpacking last year and have now clipped 4 peaks in the Adirondacks!
