As we take a couple days off this week to celebrate with our families, we would like to wish a very happy Thanksgiving to all of our clients, friends, and readers. We are extremely grateful for the community around us. We hope you enjoy your day with the people you cherish and love.
Here’s what we’re thankful for this season.
Describe Thanksgiving in three words: A full day.
Favorite thing about Thanksgiving: The opportunity to see extended family from all sides in one day.
Favorite Thanksgiving food: Pillsbury Crescent Rolls.
Favorite Thanksgiving tradition: Taking the kids downtown to Spot on Delaware/Chippewa to wait for Mommy to finish the Turkey Trot.
Christmas music before or after Thanksgiving?: After.
What’s are you thankful for this season?: Peace in our family. A business that provides for our employees and our family. Good health.
Describe Thanksgiving in three words: Grateful. Loud. Love.
Favorite thing about Thanksgiving: I’m always grateful for my family. It’s always loud and chaotic but love our relationship because it’s special and unique. It’s not perfect but realized a long time ago, the imperfections allow us to grow and learn. We’ve been fortunate to add to my little family of 5, now 9 with addition of my nephew. We love to eat, talk and spend time together. And a little game of bingo brings out the competitive side in everyone, especially my son Nate.
Favorite Thanksgiving food: Stuffing with gravy.
Favorite Thanksgiving tradition: A Thanksgiving tradition for my family is giving my mom a break. She’s a wonderful cook and makes time to lovingly prepare meals for us throughout the year. My sisters and I prepare the turkey with all the fixings.
Christmas music before or after Thanksgiving?: Definitely after.
What are you thankful for this season?: I’m most thankful for everyone being together and healthy. It’s time spent together that matters the most to me and my family.
Describe Thanksgiving in three words: Friends, Family, Feast
Favorite thing about Thanksgiving: Of course I love the dinner food and even more so the pies for dessert but the endless laughter is probably my favorite thing about Thanksgiving.
Favorite Thanksgiving food: Stuffing and my mom’s delicious pumpkin roll.
Favorite Thanksgiving tradition: For the past 6 years I have been celebrating thanksgiving with my boyfriends family. After dinner we sit down on the living room rug and everyone goes through the Black Friday ads. After we have gone through what seems to be the never ending pile of ads it’s time for a very competitive game of catch phrase.
Christmas music before or after Thanksgiving?: Never before!!!! (Kaylyn’s office music is the exception)
What are you thankful for this season?: Sounds cliche but I am thankful for my family and friends. I have the most supportive group of friends and family, I couldn’t do what I do without them! And of course my SPCA “mom” Polla she has helped me grow as a person and as a business professional and I am ever grateful for her.
Describe Thanksgiving in three words: Delicious. Gratitude. Mashed Potatoes.
Favorite thing about Thanksgiving: It’s a holiday that helps me pause and take notice of what I have around me and how much we have to be thankful for. Also mashed potatoes.
Favorite Thanksgiving food: Mashed Potatoes.
Favorite Thanksgiving tradition: Watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year I’ll be running the Turkey Trot, so I will miss it, but that’s what DVR is for! Did I mention I love eating mashed potatoes too?
Christmas music before or after Thanksgiving?: Before. Not even sorry.
What are you thankful for this season?: I’m thankful for my life, my family, and the opportunities I’ve been given this year. I’m thankful for smaller sillier things like dry shampoo and heated seats and christmas lights and good smelling candles. I’m thankful for my job, supportive coworkers, and the few but so good and so loyal friends of mine who are always there and always have my back.
